CCC Uitstappie - Mei 2017 - Randjesfontein Horse Training Centre

Dear Club Member:

You are invited to the Clubhouse at the Horse Training Centre Randjesfontein, Midrand on Saturday, 20 May 2017 at 06h30.

There will be training action on the track around the clubhouse.   Keep in mind that the Jockeys already starts at 04h00 with training!   Therefore, it will be good to visit the location early for sunrise shots.

You are also welcome to enjoy breakfast at the Clubhouse between 07h00 and 10h00.  (Costs between R20.00 to R65.00)

Directions from Oriental City, (Old Johannesburg Road - R101) the to the Club House:

-  Head South on Old Johannesburg Road/ Pretoria Main, Past the SA Mint.  After SA Mint, the first turn-of to the left.  (Pass under the Gautrain Bridge at Peri Formwork on the left.)  Continue with the road to the T-Junction with Olievenhoutbosch Ave.  Across the traffic-lights you will see the entrance to the Horse Training Centre Randjesfontein.  Enter the gate and turn immediately left towards the Clubhouse.  Sign in at the boom-gate and follow the road past the dam until you get to the Clubhouse on your right.

SAAF Flight Museum's flight day

SAAF Flight Museum's flight day

CCC has been invited to the SAAF Flight Museum's flight day this coming Saturday, 1 April 2017 at Swartkops Airfield.

It all start at 08:30 and will be done by 12:00.

If you are interested, just send an email to leot@icon.co.za with "SATURDAY YES" in the email header.

It is a great opportunity to get photos of the airplanes.

The cost is a small donation of your own choice.

Komende Saterdag 1 April 2017 is weer vliegdag by die SA Lugmagmuseum op LMB Swartkop in Valhalla (Ou Johannesburg Pad).  Dit beteken is dat die afgetrede vliegtuie uitgesleep en gevlieg word.  Almal is welkom om te kom kyk.  Daar is nie ’n vaste program nie - jy moet kyk wat aan die gang is, watter vliegtuig gereed maak en fotos neem soos dit gebeur.  Die uitstalruimtes word ook oopgemaak en jy kan oa. historiese vliegtuie en ook die vuurpyl sien wat LEO (dit is nie ek nie!) sou lanseer - baaie foto geleenthede. (April mag daar meer aktiviteit as gewoonlik wees, aangesien daar ’n lugskou in Mei-maand plaatsvind)

Die vliegtuie word naby die draad aangeskakel en weer parkeer - so foto-neem is maklik!   Wil jy  nog meer weet oor vliegtuie afneem?  Gaan kyk hier:

Wanneer vliegprogram afgehandel is, sal ek so draai loop en sekere interessanthede by vliegtuie wat ek goed ken, deel -   ook vir die mense wat belangstel ’n staaltjie of twee vertel onder die vlerk van die Shackleton… byvoorbeeld 22500 liter hoë oktaan brandstof, 4 Rolls Royce enjins met 96 vonkproppe, agt lugskroewe wat gesamentlik 10 000 perdekrag ontwikkel, 12 bemanningslede, kon ’n duikboot onder die water volg en vernietig, en ens ens ens… Of die Mirage vegter wat by Mach 2.00 kon draai...

Photograph from the rooftops of the city, “hang-out” with fellow photographers at all the rejuvenated spots in the city, whizz through the city on the Big Red Hop-on-Hop-off bus, learn all about street, urban and travel photography from international host of “The Candit Frame” – Ibarionex Parrelo as well as local award winning photographers.  Join us at PhotoZA gallery in Rosebank to celebrate Street and Urban photography with an exhibition of your won photographs. 

The venue for the congress is the conference facilities at Emirates Airways Park (formally known as Ellis Park). 

Delegates will be limited to 250 to ensure a very exclusive experience.

Uitstappie Februarie 17

U word vroegoggend op Saterdag 2016-02-18 om 06h00 uitgenooi na 'n foto uitstappie te Pioniershuis museum te Silverton.

Bring gerus u gunsteling kamera, lense, driepoot, reflectors, kamera-flits,ens saam. Die beplanning is om die aktiwiteite by die Boermark te fotografeer vir u portefulje: "Joernalistiek/ Straat-en-kos fotografie". Die aktiwiteite by die boeremarks begin reeds tussen 05h00 - 05h30. Al die aktiwiteite behoort so teen 10h00 ten einde te loop.

Dit is 'n veilige omgewing met parkering.

CCC January Outing

For our January outing, Centurion Camera Club is getting together for a photography morning at the Johannesburg Zoo.

We meet as the Western Gate - that is where Lower Park drive joins into Jan Smuts ave at 08:00 for 08:30 as the gates open at 08:30.  Member will be given a list of prescribed images to take for a small internal competition.  We will meet at 11:00 at the cafeteria.
